Technology Innovation Institute unveils Abu Dhabi quantum optical ground station for ultra-secure global communications

The Technology Innovation Institute (TII) has launched the Abu Dhabi Quantum Optical Ground Station (ADQOGS), the first and largest facility in the Arab world and MENA dedicated to secure free-space optical communications. Located at Al Sadeem Observatory, the 2,363 sqm facility features an 800mm tracking telescope, control room, and weather station. ADQOGS will integrate the UAE into the global Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) network and enable ultra-secure key material availability.
